To register on a job placement programme, you must be at least 18 years old; for an internship programme at least 17 years old. To register you must return a legible completed and signed application form, a CV in English, an identity photo, a photocopy of your identity card, accompanied by a deposit of 20%. The completed file must reach us 8 weeks before the start of your programme at the latest.

To register on a summer job programme in the UK, you must be at least 18 years old and of European Nationality (Dutch and Belgium excluded). Following this interview, we will assess whether your profile matches our partner's recruitment requirements. If so, we will send you a letter, stating the details of your programme (details of chosen programme, start dates). This letter, which constitutes a contract, must be returned to us signed and accompanied by payment for the programme within 48 hours, in order for the process to get under way. Upon receipt of the signed confirmation letter and documents, we will send our partner your application. A notification of final acceptance will be sent to you within 72 hours.
After that, we will send you remaining balance to pay, then a paid invoice with your employment contract signed by the employer. If your program includes additional services (English courses, accomodation, Service Plus), a confirmation will be sent to you for each of them.
To register on an English course, you must be at least 16 years old. NB: Language schools may be closed on British and Irish public holidays. In these cases, no reimbursements will be made. It is possible, however, to rescherdule classes on this/these day(s) with the prior agreement of the school.
To register on an accomodation programme, you must be at: least 16 years old to stay with a host family; at least 18 years old to stay in residence, houseshares, youth hostels and/or hotels (except group reservations in hostels or hotels where all children below the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult). To register, you must return a legible completed and signed application form, an identity photo as well as 20% deposit.

To benefit from the SERVICE PLUS you must be at least 16 years old.
EU nationals are entitled to travel to Great Britain and Ireland with a valid passport or identity card. A visa or work permit is not required to participate in the programmes.
The Summer job programme in the UK is exclusively restricted to European nationals (belgium and dutchs excluded). The participant must provide an extract from the criminal record prior to the start of the programme. CEI cannot be held responsible if the participant is unable to provide this document in due time.
Upon receipt of files for non-EU residents, the CEI and your school will send you an acceptance letter so that you can the necessary steps to obtain your visa from the appropriate authorities. However, neither the CEI nor the school can be held responsible for the refusal of a visa.
NB: All bank charges are for your account. For your registration to be handled, the request for the bank transfer must be sent to us by fax, mail or email.
Any changes after registration (ie a change of programme, accommodation, classes or postponement) must be requested in writing 30 days before the originally planned departure date at the latest. The changes will only be confirmed subject to availability.
You can postpone your programme start date for up to 1 year from the date of requested postponement, but you must confirm your required start date 8 weeks prior to new starting date wished. Once the new date is confirmed with your consultant, you will receive a programme confirmation letter to sign.

If you wish to shorten your stay, you must advise us in writing, giving us 3 weeks' notice before your departure date. If you decide to leave without respecting the notice period, you will owe us these 3 weeks' rent.
If, in exceptional circumstances, your accommodation with a family does not suit you for justified and sound reasons, we will initially intervene with the family and as a second step, where required, will place you in another family within a maximum of 2 weeks. In the respect, we ask you not to leave the family under any circumstances without notifying us first.
Any cancellation must be requested in writing by recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt and will only be effective upon receipt. Our terms and conditions are as follows:
- If you want to shorten your stay, you must advise CEI Ltd in writing (email) observing a 4-week notice before your new departure date.
-If you leave without observing the 4-week notice, you will have to pay the corresponding 4 weeks of rent.
If, under exceptional circumstances, we are not able to confirm your placement (for job placements) in the 10 working days (not including English public holidays) or to confirm the placement for internships (not including English & Irish public holidays) before your arrival, we agree to refund costs incurred relating to the search for a job or internship.
If, under exceptional circumstances, we are not able to offer you the course you reserved for the dates of your stay, the CEI undertakes to put you on a similar course.
Please note that all confirmations are subject to availability at the time of booking.
If, under exceptional circumstances, we are not able to provide you with the accommodation you have booked for the dates of your stay, the CEI undertakes to provide an accommodation that will be in the same range or as close as possible from your initial choice.
Good conduct by the participant is necessary for the smooth running of the programmes. This is why the CEI reserves the right to cancel its services without reimbursement in case of non-respect of the payment, cancellation and modification terms and conditions (early departure without notice), or for third party damage (unauthorised use of the telephone, loss of keys, damage to property...) and in the following cases:
The participant is responsible for Third Party damage cover under his/her own individual civil liability policy. Damage caused by vandalism and defacement remains the responsibility of the participant.
The CEI Ltd guarantees an effective job placement in ten working days after the beginning of the program (date formerly chosen in agreement with the consultant). In order to be effectively recruited, the CEI will arrange as many interviews necessary until the candidate is confirmed. This process generally does not require more than 4 interviews per candidate.
The CEI cannot be held responsible for career development, relationships with management or colleagues, or salary increases in the host compagny.
The CEI undertakes to confirm your internship placement up to 3 working days before the start date of your program (excluding English and Irish public holidays).
The CEI undertakes to intervene with your host company within 10 working days (excluding English and Irish public holidays) for justified and sound reasons wich have been confirmed in writing, with the exception of internships of less than 6 weeks' duration.
The CEI will not be held responsible for an offer not being made, as the ultimate decision lies with the employer.
Complaints must be made in writing and sent by recorded delivery with acknowledgement of receipt within one month after your stay has ended. If the participant experiences difficulties during his/her stay, the CEI must be informed about it in a timely manner in order to be able to act appropriately and so that the participant can bring his.her stay to a successful conclusion. The CEI can be held in no way responsible for any loss or theft of luggage or personal effects which remain under the entire supervision of the participant.
The CEI reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during visits to illustrate its brochures, websites and presentation documents, unless advised otherwise by the participant, his/her parents or legal representative for minors, by mail with one month of the end of his/her stay.
