CULTURE WEEK IN PERU

 

Known as the "city of the meeting of two worlds", Cajamarca is at the crossroad of the Inca and pre-Inca cultures while positioning itself as a city at the same time modern and colonial.

The Culture Week in Peru offers the opportunity to get acquainted with surroundings of Cajamarca, to learn useful words and sentences in Spanish, to widen one's knowledge of customs, history and local culture, to meet locals while building relationships with other participants.

 

In the program:

  • Introduction to local good practices, Peruvian culture and language
  • Hike to White Crosses Hill and thermal bath in Banos
  • Visit of a traditional farm in Granja Porcón
  • Discovery of Cumbe Mayo, the home of the oldest human construction in South America, a pre-Inca site
  • Visit of Cajamarca, its markets and historical points of interest (Cuarto de Rescate for instance)
  • Hike to the top of Santa Apolonia overlooking the city
  • Discovery of the lagoon

 

Your accommodation during your stay:

You will be accommodated in the district of Puyllucana, a small village located in the northeastern part of Cajamarca. Located next to the city of Cajamarca (the capital and the largest city in the district of Cajamarca in Peru), this peaceful place exudes a calm atmosphere after a day spent outdoor. The accomodation has a magnificient view of the Andes and is close to the Amazon forest. Participants are accommodated in full board in rooms from 3 to 5 persons.

Dates of stay and organization

This program lasts a week, from Sunday to Saturday. Registrations are open all year long.

Registration details

Prices :

210€ per week + 23€ annual membership + 150€ administrative fee per registration.

 

Conditions :

  • to be over 18 years old (no age limit for minors accompanied by their legal tutor)
  • to have a personal passport valid at least 6 months after your return
  • to have a good level of English (B1)
