CULTURE WEEK IN MALAWI

This program aims to give participants the chance to deepen their knowledge of local lifestyles through a better knowledge of the customs, food and history of the country. This Culture Week also allows to prepare yourself for a longer stay in Malawi.

Everyone will have the opportunity to learn useful sentences and the main elements of language to facilitate their interactions with the local population and thus enrich their experience.

In the program:

• Introductory meeting, introduction to the culture and history of the country
• Chewa language courses, health and security advice
• Visit of Mangochi and its museums, monuments, local market and river
• Visit of the village
• Discovery of Malawi Lake National Park with the possibility to swim
• Excursions to the beach
• Traditional cooking class and dinner after the cooking class
• Visit of Liwonde National Park and its surroundings
• Bracelets manufacturing and local craft lessons

Your accommodation during your stay:

Mangochi is a coastal town located between Malawi and Malombe lakes. Called Fort Johnston during the colonial era, Mangochi is a city with many water and fishing activities. Participants will be accommodated in full board in rooms equipped for 4 to 8 persons.
