ART & DESIGN IN GHANA

 

The aim of this stay is to develop cultural interactions between the inhabitants and the participants through a shared learning and an exchange of ideas. This project also enables children in the area to develop their artistic expression.

 

In the program:

Participants will share the daily life of local artisans and so learn about specific aspects of their business as well as the history of African art.

They will then help to pass on their knowledge to children in the area and set up exhibitions.

 

Your accommodation on site:

The center is in Teshie, a coastal city on the outskirts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. Teshie is an expanding small town that has its own train station. Participants will be accommodated in full board in small dormitories (2 to 14 beds).

Dates of stay and organization

This program lasts at least a week, from Sunday to Saturday. Registrations are open all year long.

Registration details

Prices:

185€ per week + 23€ annual membership + 150€ administrative fee per registration

 

Conditions:

  • to be over 18 years old
  • to have a good level of English (B1)
  • to have a personal passport valid at least 6 months after your return and having a least 3 blank pages including 2 face-to-face
  • to be vaccinated against yellow fever
  • to have a tourist visa
  • to have a Facilitator's Feature Certificate, the equivalent, or an experience in animation
